Red Nucleus is hiring a Director, Business Development to join our global team! This role is U.S. based remote with travel to client sites and periodic meetings in our RN offices.

As a Director, Business Development at Red Nucleus, you will be responsible for the development and execution of the strategic account growth plans across new and existing accounts.

The Director, Business Development will sell and position solutions with key budget holders and decision-makers within R&D, Commercial and IT and proactively identify opportunities. This team member will provide well-executed plans that will yield a strong pipeline, visibility and opportunities to sign strategic multi-year agreements as well as tactical services.

The Director, Business Development will have many responsibilities including:

  • Open doors to new accounts for business and technology consulting services

  • Expand accounts once opened (new and existing)

  • Align and work closely with the SS&A partners to ensure sales strategy and messaging meets overall Business Unit vision, goals and practices

  • Create and update Strategic Account Development Plans

  • Develop strong and strategic client relationships within target accounts as well as relevant external partners (i.e. Pharmaceutical, Biotech and Device companies, CRO's, etc.)

  • Set-up meetings with key decision-makers and influencers to identify, qualify, consult and close opportunities

  • Consult and collaborate with internal service delivery teams within our lines of business to craft appropriate solutions that meet the unique business requirements of identified opportunities

  • Write proposals, develop presentations and draft SOWs as part of the sales process and cycle

  • Manage and track pipeline and opportunities via Red Nucleus’ opportunity management process

  • Ensure all business sold meets profitability targets

  • Ensure seamless transition from the sales process to the delivery team

  • Provide direction and input towards targeted Marketing initiatives

About You

Required Qualifications

  • Proven success at achieving, maintaining or exceeding $3M-5M sales target annually

  • A solid network across Life Sciences for business and technology consulting services

  • Experience selling business and technology consulting services, including but not limited to:

    • Organizational Transformation
      • Business Process Excellence
      • Organizational Change Management
      • Training
      • System and Information Management
      • Data/Information Governance & Strategy
      • System Assessment, Implementation, & Maintenance
      • Document/Information Management
      • Document/Data Organization Migration
  • Demonstrated ability to break into new accounts and new functional areas within existing accounts

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and grow client relationships across functional areas and levels as well as other external partners (i.e. Technology Vendors)

  • Ability to identify and develop (via consultative approach) large strategic relationships

  • Excellent written and verbal communications

  • Strong collaboration skills within cross-functional teams

  • Strong understanding of the pharma sector with a concentration in business and technology consulting services

  • Prior experience using SalesForce as a CRM tool for pipeline and opportunity tracking desired

  • Advanced skill level in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Understanding of the drug development process as it relates to timeliness of service offerings

  • Up to 50% travel required
