Ashley Anderson is a skilled mental health professional with extensive experience in various therapeutic settings. Currently serving as a School Based Mental Health Therapist at Red Oak Behavioral Health since August 2018, Ashley provides therapeutic interventions for youth aged 5-22, manages a substantial caseload, and conducts diagnostic assessments, while also being a mentor for new staff and a co-chair for the JEDI committee. As President of the Coalition for Children's Mental Health, Ashley focuses on education, advocacy, and reducing stigma associated with mental illness. Previous internships at Coleman Professional Services and Children's Advantage provided foundational clinical skills, and earlier roles as a Behavior Specialist and Technician at Bellefaire JCB and Step By Step Academy honed expertise in working with diverse populations, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Ashley holds a Master of Social Work from Simmons University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The Ohio State University.

Red Oak Behavioral Health is an accredited non-profit organization that has served the people of Greater Akron since 1963. Its mission is to change lives by partnering with the community and those in need of behavioral health services. Red Oak Behavioral Health has nearly 80 licensed clinicians and 45 case managers. The agency serves approximately 4,000 children and adults living with mental health disorders every year. Accredited by Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services and COA, Red Oak has become part of the fabric of social services and community behavioral health agencies in the Greater Akron area.
