Ashley Pursglove

Director Of Engineering at Red Sea Farms

Ashley Pursglove has held various roles in the engineering and technology industries since 2009. From 2009-2014, they worked as a Research Scientist at BASF, during which time they were also funded to complete a Masters program and a Doctorate. In 2014, they were Manager of Materials Live!, an outreach and engagement project. From 2015-2017, they were Technology Transfer Fellow at SPECIFIC and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, where they developed new and novel water treatment solutions. From 2015-2019, they were Co-Founder and CTO of Murex, a rapid prototyping and bespoke materials engineering company. Most recently, they have been Director of Engineering and Manager of Systems Engineering at RedSea since 2019.

Ashley Pursglove has a background in chemistry. Ashley received their BSc (Hons) in Applied Chemistry from the University of Leeds between 2006 and 2009. Ashley then went on to pursue an MRes in Steel Technology at Swansea University from 2009 to 2010. Lastly, they completed their EngD in Novel Uses of Nano-Particles in Photochemistry at Swansea University from 2010 to 2014.
