Branko Lovic

Branko Lovic has worked in the plant science industry for over 25 years. Branko began their career in 1994 as a Post-Doctoral Research Scientist at Texas A&M University, where they conducted research on biocontrol of rhizomania of sugar beet. In 1995, they joined American Sunmelon as a Plant Pathology/QA/Breeding, where they were responsible for field inspection of seed crops, seed health testing, and certification. In 1998, they moved to Syngenta, where they worked as a Global Seed Production Manager and Global Production Plant Pathologist. In 2007, they joined Monsanto as a Technology Development Lead. In 2014, they moved to East-West Seed as a Group Quality Manager. In 2016, they joined United Genetics Seeds Co. as Global Director - Production and Executive Vice President - USA. In 2020, they joined Unigen Seeds Spain S.L. as Production/Quality. Branko is currently employed at RedSea as Head of Plant Science.

Branko Lovic obtained a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, General from the University of Belgrade in 1987. Branko then went on to earn a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Botany/Plant Biology from Utah State University in 1991. Finally, they completed their education in 1994 with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Plant Pathology/Phytopathology from Texas A&M University.
