Julie Brockman, CRSP, CHSC

Julie Brockman, CRSP, CHSC has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Julie is currently working as a Health & Safety and Human Resource Specialist at Red Sun Farms since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Health, Safety & Environmental Specialist at Majors McGuire from May 2018 to June 2022. At Majors McGuire, they were responsible for assessing and designing custom Health & Safety Management Systems for client companies.

Julie also worked as a Health Safety Environment Coordinator at Highbury Canco Corporation in February 2018 and as a QHSE Specialist at Sterling Fuels Limited from September 2017 to February 2018.

Their extensive work experience also includes a long tenure at Syngenta, where they held the role of Health, Safety, Environment & Quality professional from January 2001 to May 2017. During their time at Syngenta, they created and maintained a culture of safety in various environments, including manufacturing, warehousing, and agriculture. Their responsibilities included risk assessment, hazard identification, auditing, inspections, legislation compliance, and wellness programs.

Before transitioning into health and safety roles, Julie worked as an Information Technology & Accounts Payable Manager at Setterington's Fertilizer Service Limited from March 1997 to January 2001.

In addition to their formal education, Julie Brockman has obtained several certifications. Julie is a Certified Health and Safety Consultant, accredited by the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering, which they obtained in June 2022. Julie is also a Canadian Registered Safety Professional, certified by the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals since December 2016. Julie holds the designation of Joint Health & Safety Certified Member, granted by the Ontario Ministry of Labour in May 2012. Furthermore, Julie is an ISO 9000 Auditor, accredited by Deloitte since April 2001.

As for recent accomplishments, in February 2023, Julie completed the Workplace Investigations Training and Certificate Program offered by HRPA - Human Resources Professionals Association.
