What it means to be Director of Technology 

As a Director of Technology within the Redbrick portfolio, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of complex technical solutions. Collaborating closely with software development managers, engineers, advertising operations and data scientists, you will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical specifications and ensuring these solutions are seamlessly integrated into production. You will establish and maintain strong partnerships with various teams across the organization to prioritize initiatives and ensure alignment with business goals.

In this role, you will have end-to-end ownership, executing strategy across engineering, partnerships and adops teams. This individual will work to build scalable solutions, monitoring progress and measuring success across the entire pipeline. You will be the champion for the products and services managed by your team, providing regular updates to senior leadership on all aspects of your programs. Your ability to drive cross-team collaboration, influence product roadmaps using a data-driven approach, and prioritize initiatives based on business impact will be key to your success. You will also be responsible for identifying and removing blockers, simplifying processes, and ensuring the timely delivery of projects.

  • Manage technical requirements, design, and oversee the overall coordination, quality, and productivity of the programs you lead.

  • Serve as the primary point of unification for technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals and finances.

  • Lead data, engineering, and product execution backing into business and revenue objectives to deliver scalable solutions.

  • Create deployable infrastructure capable of supporting several hundred million concurrent users.

  • Develop and own project roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.

  • Track service levels, schedule adherence, and ensure that individual stakeholder teams meet and exceed their performance targets.

  • Apply best practices in science, engineering, and business to optimize program outcomes.

  • Build the team and products of your dreams.

After 1 week

  • You will be onboarded with the engineering team and get a sense of how you fit within the company

  • You will be introduced to your team in a group and in 1 on 1s

  • You will be getting familiar with the Company’s products and processes

  • You will become familiar with our development environment and repositories

After 1 month

  • You will know all members of the team and understand who to ask for what

  • You will be introduced to our product roadmap and understand where you can make the greatest impact

  • You will find a rhythm with your direct reports and start to define plans for meeting their unique needs

After 6 months

  • You will feel confident in your role and will be contributing on many fronts

  • You have built a strong rapport with your team and are helping them learn and grow in their roles

  • You will have offered valuable insights into engineering processes and are actively contributing to ongoing improvements

  • You are actively communicating with your peers on the leadership team and cross-departmentally disseminating information appropriately

Basic “Must Have” Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.

  • 5+ years of experience in technical product or program management.

  • 5+ years of experience managing technical programs in collaboration with software engineering teams.

  • 3+ years of experience working directly in software development.

  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.

  • Deep familiarity with ad tech, SSPs, DSPs, the programmatic landscape, and/or media supply chain.

  • Proven track record articulating a team vision and translating technical concepts into broadly understood material.

  • Demonstrated experience data motivated decision-making and project management

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management for desktop, tablet and mobile app development.

  • 5+ years of experience in building advertising technology solutions, content distribution, and attribution.

  • Proven experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules.

  • Experience defining and managing KPIs to drive multi-million dollar businesses, with a track record of reporting to senior leadership.

  • Proven ability to drive the development of product strategy correlated to monetization.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, are a creative problem-solver, communicate effectively and are adept at building internal and external relationships.
