Robert Barr

Robert Barr has a long and extensive work history in the technology and software engineering fields. Robert began their career in 1995 as a Sr. Programmer/Analyst for D&E Support Professionals. In 1999, they moved to Unisolve as a Lead Software Engineer. In 2000, they joined The Phoenix as Manager of Information Technology and was responsible for developing corporate applications, LAN/WAN & Applications management. In 2001, Robert became Vice President of Software Engineering for Datalabs, where they were a member of the executive management team and was tasked with defining and building software engineering, IT, and support departments from company inception until the sale of DataLabs to ClinPhone. From 2006 to 2008, Robert served as Vice President of Software Engineering for ClinPhone. In 2013, they joined Axis Technical Group as Senior Vice President of Technology Services, where they worked with US and India teams to develop software products and created a nationwide automated insurance validation integration service. In 2016, they moved to PRA Health Sciences as Vice President of Research Technology/Interoperability - CTO Nextrials Division, where they collaborated across all divisions to integrate the Nextrials EDC product and electronic health record (EHR) solutions into multiple systems and processes. In 2021, Robert joined ICON plc as Vice President of Connected Health, where they oversaw the continued development of the Prism electronic data capture (EDC) products and the Prism Connect enterprise service bus (ESB)/eSource suite. Currently, Robert is the SVP, General Manager RWD/RWE Business Unit for REDCap Cloud.

Robert Barr attended Southern Utah University from 1989 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Electronics Engineering Technology.
