Principal Scientist - Molecular Dynamics at Redesign Science

Charles Abreu has worked in various roles since 2004. Charlles began as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Cornell University in 2004, then moved on to become an Assistant Professor (Pre-probation Lecturer) at State University of Campinas in 2006. Later in the same year, they became an Associate Professor (Post-probation Lecturer) at Universidade Estadual de Campinas. In 2011, Charles Abreu was an Academic Staff Member at ATOMS, and also an Associate Professor (Post-probation Lecturer) and Assistant Professor (Pre-probation Lecturer) at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. In 2018, they were a Visiting Scholar at New York University, and they are currently a Principal Scientist - Molecular Dynamics at Redesign Science since 2022.

Charles Abreu obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 1999. Charlles then pursued a Master of Science in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the same university, graduating in 2000. Finally, Charles Abreu completed a Doctor of Science in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 2004.
