Andrew Sturgess

Andrew Sturgess has an extensive career in the fire industry, spanning over three decades. Andrew is currently working as a Technical Director of Fire Technology at RedEye, where they lead a specialist team in developing a world-first specialist bushfire management technology. This technology aims to improve preparedness measures and minimize the impact of fire disasters on asset owners and critical infrastructure operators. Prior to their current role, Andrew held managerial positions at Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, where they managed the fire behavior analysis capability and led research, training, and technology development to support planning, preparedness, response, and recovery efforts.

Andrew Sturgess received their Master's Degree in Professional Studies from the University of Southern Queensland from 2011 to 2015.
