Miguel Carpio

Miguel Carpio is a Senior DevOps Engineer at Red Hat, specializing in OpenStack/OpenShift CI Systems since December 2023. Miguel has served as an Associate Professor at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona since October 2018, teaching Programming Methodology and Development Technologies for the Internet and Web at the Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering. Miguel has held roles as a Principal HPC Engineer at IRB Barcelona and a DevOps Engineer at Semidynamics Technology Services, focusing on High-Performance Computing and cloud infrastructure. Prior experience includes roles at Barcelona Supercomputing Center, Claro Ecuador, and MAINT, with a strong background in Linux system administration, cloud computing, and virtualization technologies. Miguel is currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, building on a Master in Computer Security and a degree in Telematics Engineering from Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral.
