About the Role
Redhorse Corporation is staffing a team to support the Department of Defense’s Acquisition Policy & Innovation (API) Directorate within the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). The API Directorate is an organization within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition and Sustainment) (OUSD(A&S)) subordinate to the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Acquisition) (ASD(A)) and the Director, Defense Pricing. API is the OUSD(A&S) lead for enabling innovative acquisition approaches to deliver timely capabilities to the Warfighter. API iteratively develops, implements, monitors, and updates acquisition policies and business practices to support $2 Trillion in Warfighting capabilities and decision-making across multiple Acquisition Pathways: Urgent Capability Acquisition; Middle Tier Acquisition; Major Capability Acquisition; and Defense Business System Acquisition. The Program Manager provides leadership, direction, and management of support for the APEX team. The ideal candidate possesses extensive managerial, technical, and business knowledge, and experience relating to DoD and major systems or programs. Have a proven ability to lead and provide direct input in solving complex issues involving staff and resources of sizable magnitude and can think strategically to address issues and implement plans for major operational defense programs.
