Filipe Oliveira

Filipe Oliveira has extensive experience in performance engineering and high-performance computing. Filipe currently works at Redis as the Principal Performance Engineer, leading the performance team and ensuring optimal performance for the company's services. Before Redis, Filipe worked at Farfetch as a Performance Engineer, where they developed tools to analyze and improve performance testing, monitoring, and capacity planning. Prior to that, they worked at Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia as a High Performance Scientist, focusing on efficient computation and leading the development of real-time 3D nano particle simulations. Filipe also gained experience through internships at The University of Texas at Austin, specializing in grid and distributed computing, and as an Msc. student at the University of Minho.

Filipe Oliveira completed their Msc. in Ciências da Computação e Informática at Universidade do Minho from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they pursued Computer Engineering at Universidade do Minho from 2009 to 2013. In the year 2008 to 2009, they engaged in the first year of licensure in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto. Filipe also obtained additional certifications including a Web Development Course from Group Buddies in 2014, Bright Challenge 2014 from Bright Academy, SA in 2014, Financial Projections Elaboration from EDIT VALUE Formação Empresarial in 2013, and Open Water Diver from PADI: Professional Association of Diving Instructors in 2013.
