Shay Berman

Shay Berman has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Shay began their career in 1999 as a software engineer at IAF, where they worked on an extensive upgrading project and later served as a SysAdmin for Unix/Linux systems. After that, they joined Comverse in 2007, where they held roles as a Unix/Linux system developer and a Linux instructor. In 2011, Shay joined IBM, taking on various roles including Senior DevOps & Automation Developer, Teacher for internal courses, Product Owner, and Architect & Software Engineer. During their time at IBM, they were responsible for leading the IBM Storage solution for Kubernetes and Openshift and developing an automatic infrastructure for system-level tests. In 2017, they joined The Academic College of Tel-Aviv, Yaffo as a lecturer, before moving on to Redis in 2019. At Redis, they have held positions as a Senior DevOps Developer, Principal DevOps Developer, and currently serves as the Infrastructure DevOps Team Lead. Shay Berman's expertise lies in DevOps, automation, Linux, shell scripting, Docker, and infrastructure design.

Shay Berman obtained a B.Sc in Computer Science from The College of Management Academic Studies, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Prior to that, they attended Ort College from 1998 to 1999, where they received a Technician degree in Software. In 1999, they also attended IDF - MAMRAM, but no specific degree or field of study is provided. Additionally, Shay has obtained several certifications, including CKAD: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer from The Linux Foundation in August 2019, and various certifications from IBM, such as Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner, Docker Essentials: A Developer Introduction, and others. Shay was also recognized as an IBM Recognized Teacher/Educator in 2018 and has received the First Patent File.
