Opportunity & Impact
As a Senior Product Manager 2, you will play a key role in building out a product and market strategy for the Payer market. You will define the approach to the market from a strategic point of view - including market research & segmentation, and drive requirements in our platform to expand our ‘fit’ for Payers.
You will deliver innovative solutions for our customers. You should understand how to leverage frameworks to develop deep customer empathy and work with partners in design and engineering to deliver valuable, usable, and feasible solutions to our customers.
As a Sr. Product Manager 2, your responsibilities will include:
- Product Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies that align with overall business objectives. Ownership and management of multiple complex product areas simultaneously.
- Market Research: Conduct market research and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and prioritize product roadmap. Conduct both qualitative and quantitative research on customers, domains, and business needs.
- Roadmap Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and prioritize product roadmap. Ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback. Build strong relationships with key partners. Understand team dynamics and foster healthy collaboration.
- Team Collaboration & Communication: Advocate for ideas without personal ego, contributing to the continuous improvement of the team. Employ facilitation and decision-making techniques, demonstrating thoughtful communication skills to guide the team. Proficient in storytelling and persuasion, building trust with partners, communicating across all organizational levels, and exuding confidence and charisma in presentations. Develop problem-framing approaches that lead to innovative solutions.
- Release Management: Oversee product releases, and coordinate with development teams to deliver high-quality releases on schedule.
- Communication: Communicate product plans, updates, and status to internal teams, executives, and other stakeholders. Effective communication extends beyond the team, including presentations that articulate rationale.
- Data & Analytics: Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with product goals, collaborate on data collection and analysis, integrate user feedback, monitor metrics through dashboards, and stay informed about market changes.
- Process Creation & Improvement: Create new processes for uncharted territories. Improve processes such as customer research, marketing analysis, product development, measuring adoption, and iterating. Go beyond conventional practices, exploring innovative yet practical solutions.
To be successful in this role, your skills & experience should include:
- 8+ years of Product Management experience, demonstrating a deep understanding of the industry and a successful track record in overseeing multiple complex product strategies.
- 5+ years working with or for a Payer/Health Plan company
- In-depth understanding of healthcare payer operations, including reimbursement models, payer-provider relationships, and regulatory landscape.
- Familiarity with healthcare insurance products, such as HMOs, PPOs, and Medicare/Medicaid.
- Understanding of HEDIS / Payer quality measures, prior authorization, and care gap management.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare technology, EHR, and industry challenges.
- Proven track record of developing and executing market strategies in the healthcare industry.
- Ability to conduct market research, analyze data, and identify growth opportunities.
- Experience in competitive analysis and positioning within the payer market.
- Ability to formulate long-term business plans and short-term tactical initiatives to achieve organizational goals.
- Experience working extensively with designers, researchers, and engineers.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve strategic objectives.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
