John Oxley

John Oxley has over 20 years of work experience in the information security field. John began their career in 1992 as a Network Support Engineer for Cable & Wireless Communications. John then moved to Nortel Networks in 1997, where they worked as a Network Support Consultant. In 1999, they joined Alcatel-Lucent as a Security Solutions Architect, and then worked as a Security Consultant from 2014 to 2015. In 2015, they joined Contact Energy Ltd as a Security Technical Lead - Consulting, and then moved to Aura Information Security as a Senior Security Consultant. Since 2016, they have been working at RedShield Security Limited, where they currently serve as the Chief Information Security Officer and Senior Security Consultant.

John Oxley attended Seaford College from 1982 to 1986. John has obtained several certifications since then, including an ISMS Lead Auditor ISO/IEC 27001:2013 from BSI in March 2018, a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in March 2017, a Certified in Cloud Security Knowledge from the Cloud Security Alliance in February 2015, a Certified Information Security Manager - CISM from ISACA in January 2014, an ITILv3 Foundation in July 2012, a Network Routing Specialist - NRS1 from Alcatel-Lucent in June 2012, a Certified Information Systems Security Professional - CISSP from (ISC)² in July 2006, a Solaris Certified Network Administrator (Solaris 8) and a Solaris Certified System Administrator (Solaris 8) from Sun Microsystems in 2004, a Frame Relay & ATM Certified Technical Expert from Alcatel-Lucent in 2001, and a Cisco Certified Network Associate from Cisco in 2004.
