David Sloan

David Sloan has a diverse background in the biotechnology industry, with experience spanning over two decades. Their most recent position is as the Vice President of Product Management and Applications at RedShiftBio, a biotech company specializing in protein structure measurement. In this role, they are responsible for leading the product management, marketing, and scientific applications teams.

Prior to RedShiftBio, David held positions at ProteinSimple, where they served as the Director of Applications and Sales Territory Manager for the Southeastern US. David was responsible for training, troubleshooting, and ensuring customer satisfaction for various protein detection and characterization platforms.

Before ProteinSimple, David worked at SciKon Innovation, Inc. as the Director of Scientific Operations. David led the scientific team in validating and promoting the benefits of the SciFlow system, a fluidic tissue culture system for pre-clinical in vitro toxicological testing.

David also held positions at Quanterix as a Senior Field Application Scientist, Inanovate, Inc. as the Scientific Director, Meso Scale Discovery as an Application Marketing Manager and Application Scientist, NimbleGen Systems as a Senior Field Applications Scientist, Biotage as the Manager of Customer Support, and LI-COR Biosciences as a Senior Field Applications Scientist.

David Sloan has a strong educational background in the field of science. David obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from Cornell University, which they attended from 1989 to 1993. Following this, they pursued further academic achievements earning a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Cancer Biology from Duke University, where they studied from 1993 to 2000.
