Yu Wen Chen

Yu Wen Chen is a seasoned venture partner at Redstick Ventures, specializing in early-stage deep tech investments within the food value chain. With extensive experience in due diligence, deal sourcing, and portfolio support, Yu also serves as an angel squad member at Hustle Fund and provides advisory services through YW Chen. Previous roles include a venture resident at Decile Group, where responsibilities encompassed deals due diligence and fund portfolio support. As the director of product and strategy at Amyris, Yu led commercialization efforts for B2C and B2B biotech products and managed strategic partnerships. Prior positions include global product and digital strategic lead at Nestlé and principal manager for product innovation at GE Appliances. Educational credentials include a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge and an MEng from Imperial College London, along with ongoing participation in the Venture Institute at VC Lab.
