Bruce Watson

Bruce Watson has a strong background in quality management and leadership roles. Bruce is currently working as the Vice President of Quality at Redwood Materials. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Quality at Tesla from 2017 to 2021, where they successfully built a world-class quality team and system to support the production ramp of various Tesla products. Before joining Tesla, Bruce worked at Cree, where they served as the Director of Quality from 2010 to 2017. During their tenure at Cree, they directed global business quality system activity, led improvement initiatives, and facilitated lean manufacturing initiatives. Additionally, Bruce also held the role of Manager of Partnership and Alliance at Cree, where they led contract manufacturing activities and oversaw operations in Penang, Malaysia, and Huizhou, China.

Bruce Watson completed their MBA in Operations at Wake Forest University School of Business from 1995 to 1996. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University between 1985 and 1989.
