Dirk Dr. Demuth

Dirk Dr. Demuth has extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Dirk began their career at BASF AG in 1995 as an R&D Project Manager until 1999. Dirk then joined hte GmbH as CEO & COO from 1999 to 2012. Afterward, they held multiple senior leadership positions at BASF from 2013 to 2021, including Senior Vice President in R&D, Automotive Catalysts, and Catalyst Division. In 2020, they became a Senior Advisor at INERATEC GmbH and a Senior Technology Advisor at AEM - Advanced Energy Minerals. Currently, Dirk is the Senior Vice President - Operations Europe at Redwood Materials, starting in 2022.

Dirk Dr. Demuth completed their education at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. Dirk received a Diploma in Chemistry in 1992 and later obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry/Material Science in 1994. In addition, they spent some time as a Visiting Scientist at UC Santa Barbara in 1993 and 1994, specializing in Materials.
