Ashley Templeton

Ashley Templeton has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Ashley currently holds the position of VP - Residential Legal at Redwood Trust, Inc. since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked as Of Counsel at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP from October 2021 to February 2022, where they focused on structured finance and securitizations. Ashley also worked as an Associate at the same firm from November 2014 to September 2021, specializing in domestic and cross-border public offerings and private placements of mortgage-backed and asset-backed securities.

Before joining Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, Ashley worked as a Structured Transactions Associate at Bingham McCutchen LLP from December 2012 to October 2014. In this role, they served as counsel for securitizations, prepared offering circulars, and drafted transactional documents for private securitizations and resecuritizations.

Ashley's early work experience includes positions such as a Research Assistant at George Mason University School of Law, Legal Intern at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Summer Associate at McNees Wallace & Nurick, Legal Intern at the National Association of Federal Credit Unions, and Legal Intern at Debra Fitzgeral-O'Connell PLC. Ashley Templeton received a Juris Doctor degree with a concentration in International Business Law from George Mason University - Antonin Scalia Law School, from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a B.S. degree in Finance and Economics from Lehigh University College of Business, which they attended from 2004 to 2009. In 2007, Ashley also attended Kent State University, where they studied Business & Economics and International Economics.
