Emma Bishop

Emma Bishop is a scientist at Redx Pharma since March 2023, where responsibilities include screening novel small molecule inhibitors and developing cell-based assays. Prior to this position, Emma completed a PhD at the University of Birmingham between October 2019 and March 2023, focusing on the role of TNF-alpha in CD4 T cell metabolism and function as part of the Wellcome Trust MIDAS Doctoral Training Programme. Additional experience includes a visiting researcher role at the University of Calgary, where a project involved maintaining 3D colonic organoid cultures, and a research associate position at the University of Birmingham in 2018. Emma's educational background also includes a BSc in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Birmingham. Early work experience includes a lifeguard position at The White Horse Federation.
