Kristen Hare

Kristen Hare is an experienced journalist and educator with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Since October 2013, Kristen has been a faculty member at The Poynter Institute, teaching critical skills to local journalists, overseeing a fellowship for early-career journalists, and covering the local news industry while also developing a course on work/life chemistry. In addition, Kristen serves as an obituary reporter at the Tampa Bay Times, where freelance obituaries about remarkable community figures are crafted. Kristen is also an author with Reedy Press, LLC, having written three editions of "100 Things to do in Tampa Bay Before You Die," showcasing the region's notable attractions.
