Brooke Truesdale

Brooke Truesdale, CFRE, currently serves as the Director of Development at Reef Check Foundation since April 2021. With extensive experience in fundraising and development, Brooke has held various leadership roles within the Association of Fundraising Professionals - San Diego Chapter, including Scholarship Chair from January 2022 to January 2024, and previously Stewardship Chair, VP Membership, and VP Community Relations from 2015 to April 2021. Significant contributions were made as the Individual and Planned Gifts Officer at San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, and as Development Officer at Sharp HealthCare. Brooke also held the position of Associate Director of Development, Health Sciences at UC San Diego, responsible for securing private support gifts, and played a key role at the Jewish Community Foundation of San Diego in supporting the Leichtag Foundation. Earlier experience includes working as a Quality Assurance Case Manager for Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego. Brooke holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in English Language and Literature and Spanish Language and Literature from Southern Methodist University, obtained in 2007.
