Andrew Sapienza

Senior Director Human Resources at Reeves Construction Co., Inc.

Andrew Sapienza has over 30 years of work experience, starting with their role as an Electrician's Mate in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1986 to 1996. Andrew then worked as a Senior Electrician at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg from 1996 to 1998. From 1998 to 2002, they served as a Quality Control Technician at Essilor. Andrew worked as a Waterfront Coordinator at Eckerd College from 2002 to 2004 before becoming a Visiting Assistant Professor at Western Carolina University from 2004 to 2008. At Kiewit, they held various roles, including Senior Learning Manager from 2008 to 2013 and Southeast/TIC Marine & Heavy Civil District Human Resources Business Partner from 2013 to 2018. Most recently, Andrew served as the Vice President of Human Resources at Thompson Construction Group, Inc. from 2018 to 2020, and currently holds the position of Senior Director of Human Resources at Reeves Construction Company since August 2020. Throughout their career, Andrew has been responsible for various HR functions, such as strategic planning, compensation planning, leadership development, training, coaching, recruiting, employee relations, employee engagement, employment compliance, and HR analytics.

Andrew Sapienza obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Saint Leo University, where they attended from 1996 to 1999. Andrew further pursued their education by completing a Master's degree in Construction Management at Western Carolina University from 2004 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, Andrew Sapienza has obtained two additional certifications. In July 2010, they became a Certified Strengths Performance Coach through Gallup, and in April 2010, they became a DDI Certified Facilitator through Development Dimensions International.
