Mary Ellis

Mary Ellis is an Engineering Manager at Refersion. Prior to Refersion, Mary was an Engineering Manager and Lead Engineer at Rune Labs for 7 months. Mary also worked as a Web Engineer at Refersion for 1 year and 11 months. Additionally, Mary was a Lead Product Manager at Ritani for 6 months and Chief Operating Officer at SMAKK Studios for 1 year and 4 months. At Media Hive, Mary held the positions of Finance Manager and Junior Front End Developer for 2 years and 6 months. During their time at Media Hive, they were responsible for managing cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the budgeting. Additionally, they coordinated with the IRS, multiple state governments, and the company’s accountant for all tax preparation and adherence to multi-jurisdictional tax requirements. Mary also handled almost all document gathering and reporting for Finance/HR for due diligence through acquisition. In their role as Junior Front End Developer, they worked with our QA Lead to create a UI for QA tests, which required heavy emphasis on integrating front and back end pieces; refactoring/reimagining code from open source projects utilizing Angular, Python, JQuery, CSS, and HTML; implementing group/user specific login authentication and access; and transitioning the code to mobile responsive.
