Donald Porter

Donald Porter has extensive experience in the energy and refining sectors, currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors for Rizon and ReNu Technologies, and as an advisor in operations excellence for various organizations, including Par Pacific Holdings, Inc. and Astron Energy. With a background that includes over 35 years at BP, where Porter held positions such as Senior Vice President of Global Refining and Vice President of Refining at the Whiting Refinery, significant achievements include leading global refining portfolio improvements and enhancing operational performance. In addition to advisory roles, Porter is the founder of Donald Porter Advisory, LLC, focusing on operational excellence in energy businesses, and has contributed to multiple industry boards and councils, including NFTI and Refined Technologies. Educational credentials include a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan and completion of an Operations Academy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
