Krysta Engel, PhD, currently serves as the Lead Computational Biologist at RefinedScience since April 2023 and has held the position of Research Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Denver since April 2018, following a tenure as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the same institution. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology from August 2015 to March 2018, working under Principal Investigator Richard Myers, PhD. Krysta Engel completed a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2010 to 2015, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts with a Concentration in Scientific Inquiry from Northwestern State University in 2010. Additionally, Krysta Engel participated in the Louisiana Biomedical Research Network Internship at Louisiana State University in the summer of 2009.
