David R. John, III

David joined the staff at RTS in 2007 and serves as the Executive Director for Global & Distance Education. Prior to joining RTS, he served as the Associate Director of Learning Resources at Florida Atlantic University for nearly eight years. At RTS, he works directly with campus faculty and academic deans to capture, design, and develop online and hybrid courses, as well as integration of the latest in educational technology, in support of the distance education initiatives of the seminary. These initiatives include curriculum for both residential and non-residential students of RTS.

In addition to his nearly 20 years in distance education, David served in the U.S. Army infantry and subsequently in the broadcast industry as a television news producer for a local NBC affiliate in West Palm Beach, Florida. After leaving the broadcast industry, he began his career in educational technology to include instructional design, smart classroom design, videoconferencing, streaming platforms, and a variety of media and course delivery systems for distance education.
