Christian Meyre

Christian Meyre has a diverse work experience in the cement industry. Christian has held various roles at different companies throughout their career.

From 2016 to present, Meyre is the Managing Director at Refratechnik Cement GmbH. Prior to this, they were a Manager Strategic Projects at Refratechnik Holding GmbH from February 2016 to May 2016.

From 2007 to 2016, Meyre worked at HolcimUS. Christian started as a Production Manager from August 2011 to January 2016. During this time, they were responsible for production planning and analysis, managing the shipping department, and implementing the refractory strategy. Before that, they served as an Optimization Manager from October 2007 to July 2011, overseeing quality control, quarry operations, and raw materials management.

In 2006, Meyre was a Senior Materials Engineer at Holcim Canada where they focused on quarry management, raw mix optimization, and refractory selection.

From 1998 to 2006, Meyre worked at Holcim Group Support Ltd. Christian held multiple roles such as Senior Consultant, Technical Coordinator for Holcim Indonesia, Consultant, and Associate Consultant.

In 1999, Meyre completed a consulting assignment at Holcim Apasco.

Christian Meyre completed their high school education at Gymnasium am Kohlenberg from 1980 to 1988. Christian then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences at the University of Basel from 1988 to 1993. Following this, they continued their education at the same university and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from 1993 to 1998.
