Jon Rowney

Jon Rowney is an experienced finance professional currently serving as Trustee and Treasurer at Refuge since July 2021. Jon has held significant positions at the London Borough of Camden since June 2015, including Executive Director of Corporate Services and Director of Finance. Prior to this, Jon worked at London Councils from January 2011 to May 2015 as the Strategic Lead for Finance, Performance & Procurement, contributing to policy development for local government. Jon's earlier career includes roles at Hammersmith & Fulham Council from January 2005 to December 2010, encompassing the positions of Head of Fair Funding, Performance & Procurement, Finance Manager for Strategy & Resources, and Principal Accountant in various departments. Jon began a career in finance as a Trainee Accountant. Educational qualifications include a Professional Accountancy Qualification (CPFA) from CIPFA Education & Training College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and French from Loughborough University.
