Rachael Orr

Rachael Orr is an accomplished leader in the non-profit sector, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Climate Outreach since January 2023. Orr has a longstanding commitment to advocacy and governance, evidenced by the role as Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Refugee Council since May 2016, and previously holding a position as Board Trustee, focusing on campaigns and strategic oversight. From July 2018 to January 2023, Orr led PLACESHAPERS LIMITED as Chief Executive Officer, driving collaboration and influencing housing policy across a network of 120 community-based housing associations. Additional experience includes serving as a Non-Executive Director for Suffolk Housing Society Limited and overseeing Oxfam’s UK Programme, where significant fundraising was achieved. Orr's early career includes managing impactful campaigns at Shelter UK, notably the Homes for London campaign. Rachael Orr holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Communication Studies from the University of Liverpool.
