Jennifer Flora Black

Jennifer Flora Black has worked in the technology industry since 2004. In 2008, they joined Segue Technologies as a Systems Analyst - Software Requirements and Usability, where they lead a team of three to four analysts and was responsible for the redesign of the software that tracks every job in the United States Air Force. In 2012, they joined TerpSys as a Senior Business Analyst, Internet Business Solutions, where they were the Product Owner on a Scrum team and was responsible for defining user needs and custom application requirements. In 2013, they worked as a Business Analyst Contractor at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, where they were part of an Agile team creating the Supervision and Examination System. In 2014, they joined Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) as a Business Intelligence Analyst - Consultant for Celerity IT LLC, where they designed data analysis tools for investigating financial securities broker/dealers. In 2015, they joined Regent Education as a Senior Business Analyst, where they were responsible for eliciting requirements, analyzing, and documenting business needs, interviewing subject matter experts (SMEs) and developers, and writing functional requirements.

Jennifer Flora Black has an education history that includes a MIM degree from the University of Maryland College Park in Information Management from 2009 to 2013, a Master's degree from the College of Information Studies (UMD iSchool), University of Maryland in Information Management from 2013, and a BS degree from the University of Maryland Global Campus in Computer Science from 2003 to 2005. Jennifer Flora also holds certifications such as an Agile BA Practitioner from Business Analysis Excellence Pty Ltd obtained in July 2022, an IIBA® Member from IIBA obtained in September 2021, and an ITIL Foundation certification.
