Douglas Pietersma

Douglas Pietersma, Ed.D., serves as the Pastor at Elk Mountain Community Church, where responsibilities include conducting weekly services and providing pastoral counseling. In addition, Pietersma is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Regent University and works as a Research Associate/Editor for the Home School Researcher journal. Other roles include being a Contributing Columnist for The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine and Owner of AltaMeta Enterprises, LLC, which focuses on personal character enhancement through various educational offerings. As Chief Instructor of AltaMeta Kenpo Ohana, martial arts instruction is provided with an emphasis on character development. Pietersma also manages AltaMeta Language Services, providing bilingual language services and training. Previous experience includes serving as a High School Teacher in a homeschool setting, Director of the Homestead Homeschool Cooperative, and Director of the AltaMeta Homeschool Auxiliary. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Christian Education Leadership from Regent University and a Master's in Military Strategic Intelligence from American Military University.
