Sumie Takahara

Sumie Takahara has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Sumie started their career as a Clinical Research Coordinator and Ophthalmic Photographer at Bay Area Retina Associates from 2002 to 2007. Sumie then joined Allergan, where they worked as a Clinical Research Associate and later as a Principal Clinical Research Associate from 2007 to 2011. After Allergan, they worked at ThromboGenics as a Product Manager and Group Product Manager in Marketing from 2011 to 2013. Sumie then moved to Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where they held various roles including Senior Product Manager, Associate Director of Market Access Services, and Director of Market Access Strategy from 2013 to 2019. Sumie'smost recent experience is as Executive Director of Global Product and Market Planning at REGENXBIO Inc., a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this role, they were the Senior Director in charge of Retina Global Product and Market Planning at REGENXBIO Inc. from 2021 to 2023, and before that, they were the Director of Global Product and Market Planning from 2019 to 2021.
