Nakia Hawkins

Nakia Hawkins, M. Ed., is a Doctoral Student at Walden University, where studies focus on Education Policy, Leadership, and Management, anticipated to conclude in 2025. Since July 2021, Nakia has served as a Consultant in Teaching & Learning at Region 10 ESC. Prior experience includes a long tenure as an Educator with the Dallas Independent School District from June 1999 to July 2021, and additional roles in Grand Prairie ISD and Duncanville ISD. Academic credentials include a Master of Education in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Texas. Nakia also holds a Bachelor's degree in School Psychology from Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge.
