Carsten Nørgaard

Carsten Nørgaard is the current VP at Region Hovedstaden. Prior to this, they were the Interimdirektør T&S at BEC from November 2016 to February 2017. Their responsibilities there included being the CTO (200 personer + eksterne) with a focus on Business Intelligence & Analytics, Competences & Processes, Technical Customer Offerings, Security & Compliance, IT Operations & Service Management, Sourcing, and Architecture.

From June 2000 to June 2002, Carsten was the Underdirektør udvikling at Nykredit Data where they were responsible for the development of the Internet department (ca. 30 people). There they created a new Internet department to implement E-business strategies with a focus on building an effective department and delivering results. Carsten was also responsible for assessing/planning the overall tasks in collaboration with businesses and presenting them to management across levels.

Before that, Carsten was the Afdelingsleder udvikling at SDC from August 1996 to July 1997. After that, they became the CIO at VP SECURITIES from July 2002 to October 2016. Prior to their current position, Carsten was also the Afdelingsleder udvikling at Kapital IT / RealDanmark from August 1998 to May 2000 and BG Data from August 1997 to July 1998.

Carsten Nørgaard's educational career began with a leadership transition program at INSEAD. Carsten then went on to earn their M.Sc in EE from DTU - Technical University of Denmark. Finally, they attended Holstebro Gymnasium.
