Manager Of Strategic Community Planning Initiatives at Region of Waterloo

Theresa Mendler is an experienced professional in community planning and stakeholder relations, currently serving as the Manager of Strategic Community Planning Initiatives at the Region of Waterloo since June 2020. Previously, Theresa held the position of Chief of Staff and Manager of Protocol and Council Relations at the City of Brampton. Additional experience includes managing stakeholder relations for the Downtown Ottawa Light Rail Transit project while at the City of Ottawa, and serving as Senior Policy Advisor to the Minister of Transportation and Minister of Infrastructure for the Ontario Government. Earlier roles encompass executive assistance at the City of Kitchener and the House of Commons, as well as a special assistant in the Government of Canada. Theresa holds a Project Management Certification from McMaster University and a degree in Political Science from Carleton University, along with ongoing professional development through the Project Management Institute Canada.
