Jacqueline Savitz is an accomplished and strategic leader with 30 years of experience in environmental advocacy and campaign management. Currently serving as an Independent Consultant since July 2024, Jacqueline has a proven track record in creating and winning science-based campaigns that drive impactful policy changes globally. Previously, as Chief Policy Officer at Oceana from May 2002 to July 2024, Jacqueline led advocacy efforts in the US, Mexico, Belize, and the European Union, focusing on fishery abundance and habitat protection. In various leadership roles at Oceana, Jacqueline successfully directed campaigns to halt offshore drilling and combat illegal fishing and seafood fraud. Jacqueline's earlier career included significant positions at organizations such as Coast Alliance, Environmental Working Group, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and Chesapeake Research Consortium. Jacqueline holds a Master of Science in Environmental Science and Toxicology from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor's degree in Marine Science and Marine Biology from the University of Miami.
