Albert Romero

Albert Romero has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Albert worked as a Consultant at Regulated Capital Consultants starting in 2018. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Income Tax at Columbia Pipeline Group - now part of TransCanada - from 2015 to 2017. From 2000 to 2012, they were the Director of Tax at NiSource, where they managed all aspects of the income tax department, including reporting, compliance, forecasting, and regulatory support. In addition, they temporarily held the role of Financial Planning Director for NiSource's Gas Distribution Segment in 2008-2009. After that, they worked on tax special projects at NiSource from 2012 to 2015, managing the IRS audit, coordinating tax basis studies, and valuating pipeline segment assets, among other responsibilities. Prior to their time at NiSource, they held positions as Tax Manager at Columbia Gas Transmission from 1998 to 2000, Lead Financial Analyst at Columbia Energy Group from 1996 to 1998, and Lead Accountant at Columbia Gas Transmission from 1990 to 1996.

Albert Romero earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Accounting from Marshall University, studying from 1983 to 1986. Albert later pursued a Master's degree in Taxation from American University, attending from 1998 to 2001. Albert does not possess any additional certifications at this time.
