REI Cooperative Action Fund
Kristen Ragain is an experienced leader in philanthropy and social impact, currently serving as the Founding Managing Director of the REI Cooperative Action Fund since 2020, where a vision for inclusive outdoor access has been realized through strategic planning and grantmaking for a $10-12M organization. Previously, Kristen held significant roles at REI from 2007 to 2022, including Vice President of the Board of Directors for the REI Foundation and Head of Philanthropy, where initiatives led to $6-8M annual investments in nonprofits focused on marginalized communities. Early career experiences include founding Lucky Crow Gift Bags and directing outreach programs at The Children's Museum in Seattle, complemented by a BA in Art History from Franklin & Marshall College and further studies abroad.
