John Harper

Following a successful 30-year career in public utilities, John recently retired as Vice President of External Affairs for PSO where he was responsible for the company’s governmental and environmental affairs, community relations, corporate communications and economic development. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Evangel University and received his Master’s in Business Administration from Oral Roberts University. John currently serves on the board of directors for the Oklahoma Academy for State Goals, the Oklahoma Center for Non-Profits, the Tulsa Salvation Army Advisory Board, Tulsa Global Alliance, and the Oral Roberts University Golden Eagle Athletic Club.

John is a volunteer with the Tulsa Boys and Girls Club and serves as Chair of the annual golf tournament. He also serves as on the Tulsa Salvation Army Board. They have several programs, one being the “Tulsa Center for Hope” serving over three hundred homeless person each night. He also chairs the annual Tulsa Global Alliance Global Visions Awards. TGA’s mission is to foster programs for Tulsans to share their lives and goodwill with the world—to build a global community of citizen diplomats.
