Jacob Sasek

Jacob Sasek is a Senior Software Engineer at REI since September 2019, specializing in building APIs and platforms with technologies such as AWS, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Java Reactor, Gloo, and Apigee. Prior to this role, Jacob served as Lead API Developer at Costco Wholesale, where responsibilities included developing a scalable, secure cloud-based API ecosystem and delivering solutions on IBM DataPower and Google Apigee. Jacob also held the position of Ecommerce Software Development Lead at Costco, focusing on various projects within the eCommerce platform, including a mobile build-out in 2014 and transitioning to a responsive omnichannel solution in 2017. Jacob initiated professional experience as an iSeries Developer. Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, obtained in 2008, and graduated from Stevenson High School in 2002.
