At IMC Financial Markets - Chicago, Harms was the Integration Engineer - High Frequency Trading from 2011, managing, monitoring and deploying systems which process hundreds of millions of data points during the day, while executing thousands of trading transactions per minute.

At Luxottica Retail, Harms was the Senior Network Integrator from 2007, leading projects to provide solutions that reduced cost, while increasing reliability and capabilities. At RICIS, they were the Internet Specialist from 2006, responsible for implementing technical solutions for Luxottica and several Global 100 clients.

Steven Harms obtained their B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Michigan-Dearborn between 2002 and 2006. Additionally, they obtained their A+ Certification from CompTIA in 1998, as well as their Certified Network Administrator from Novell in the same year.
