Richard Allen

Richard Allen is an experienced IT professional with over three decades in system administration and IT consulting. Currently serving as a System Administrator at Reiknistofa bankanna RB since June 2022, Richard has also held the role of IT Consultant at Opin Kerfi since August 2011. Previous positions include Systems Administrator at Afilias and IT Consultant and 3rd Level Technical Support Engineer at Opin Kerfi, where a strong focus was placed on RedHat and HP presales and technical support. Richard's early career includes roles as a Systems Administrator at the University of Iceland, where expertise in SunOS, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, and Linux was developed, and at Orkustofnun, the Icelandic National Energy Authority, managing HP-UX multiuser servers and a substantial farm of X terminals.
