Ilya Rahkovsky is a data scientist who currently works at Related Sciences. Ilya has also worked as a lecturer at Johns Hopkins University and American University. Before becoming a lecturer, they worked as a senior research economist at the Economic Research Service of the USDA.
Rahkovsky has always been interested in data and how it can be used to help people and businesses. After completing their undergraduate degree in economics, they decided to pursue a career in data science so that they could use their skills to make a difference in the world.
Rahkovsky has worked on a variety of projects during their career, but one of their most notable accomplishments was leading the development of a global model of scientific clusters. This model featured clustering of a citation graph with more than 2 billion links, characterization of clusters, growth forecasting, and visualization.
In addition to their work on the global model of scientific clusters, Rahkovsky has also tracked private investments in AI across the globe, estimated the US AI workforce, and predicted business types based on company descriptions.
Rahkovsky is known for their ability to take complex data sets and turn them into insights that can be used to make better decisions. Ilya is a skilled programmer and has a deep understanding of cloud computing. Ilya is also an excellent communicator and teacher, which makes him an asset to any team.
Ilya Rahkovsky has a PhD in Economics from Michigan State University and a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from University of Michigan-Dearborn. Ilya also has certification from the US Census Department in US Census Special Sworn Status.
