Avelino Javer

Avelino Javer has worked in various roles in the field of machine learning and biomedical image analysis. In 2014, they began as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Imperial College London, where they characterized the behavioural differences in a collection of hundredths different genetic variants of C. elegans using big data techniques. In 2018, they moved to University of Oxford as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Biomedical Image Analysis. In 2020, they joined Sensyne Health as a Machine Learning Researcher. Avelino currently works at Relation Therapeutics as a Machine Learning Scientist.

Avelino Javer completed a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey between 2004 and 2009. Avelino then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Biophotonics from Ecole normale supérieure de Cachan between 2008 and 2010. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from the University of Cambridge between 2010 and 2014.
