Stephen Yen

RF Communication Systems Engineer at Relative Dynamics Inc.

Stephen Yen has over 15 years of experience in the engineering field. Stephen started their career as an Electrical Engineer Intern at Boeing in 2006, where they conducted Worst Case Component Analysis and analyzed transient characteristics and potential Single Event Effects. In 2007, they continued their internship at Boeing, supporting various groups in analog circuitry analysis and automated PCB design flow process analysis.

In 2008, Stephen joined Battelle as a Principal Research Scientist, specializing in RF, optical, and digital design for high-speed wireless communications systems. Stephen was responsible for conducting research and utilizing equipment such as network analyzers and spectrum analyzers. Stephen also gained proficiency in Matlab for signal processing simulations and algorithm design. Stephen remained at Battelle for ten years before transitioning to Lockheed Martin in 2018.

At Lockheed Martin, Stephen served as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for three years, contributing to the development of electrical designs. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Relative Dynamics Inc. as an RF Communication Systems Engineer. The duration of this role is currently ongoing.

Throughout their career, Stephen has demonstrated expertise in RF, optical, and digital design, as well as proficiency in using equipment for analyzing RF components and systems. Stephen has also showcased skills in Matlab for signal processing simulations and algorithm design.

Stephen Yen earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The Ohio State University, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Later, they pursued a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the same university and completed it between 2006 and 2008.
