Ryan Callihan has a diverse and extensive work experience. In 2009, they began teaching English as a Freelance English Teacher. In 2012, they began teaching English at In-Tense English. In 2014, they became a Museum Instructor at the San Diego Natural Theirtory Museum. In 2015, they began teaching English at Caledonian School and Q International School, and became the Assistant Director at American Village. In 2016, they became a Research Assistant and Masters Student at the University of Tübingen. In 2017, they became an English Teacher at Vivat Lingua Sprachtraining. In 2018, they became a Machine Learning Engineer at Daimler AG and a Head of AI, Head of Natural Language Processing, Lead Data Scientist, and Data Scientist at Relative Insight.

Ryan Callihan has an extensive educational history. Ryan obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) in German from Grossmont College in 2008. Ryan then went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Linguistics and a Bachelor in Linguistics and German from San Diego State University in 2010. Ryan also obtained a Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language and a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification from San Diego State University in 2010 and a German Proficiency Certificate from Grossmont College in 2008. In 2016, they earned a Master's Degree in Computational Linguistics from the University of Tübingen. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including Machine Learning Data Lifecycle in Production and Introduction to Machine Learning in Production from Coursera in 2022, AgilePM® Foundation and AgilePM® Practitioner from APMG International in 2021, and First Aid from the British Red Cross in 2019.
