Abid Imam, MBA

Abid Imam, MBA has worked for several companies since 2004. Abid began their career at CIBC as a Business Systems Specialist and Sr. Application Developer. In 2009, they joined IBM Global Business Services as a Senior Consultant. In 2010, they worked as a Senior Consultant/Project Lead for PROPHIX Software and a Consultant for Endeavour Volunteer Consulting for Non-Profits. In 2012, they joined IBM as a Program Manager - Cloud Customer Success and Cloud Operations Manager, IBM Sales Performance Management (Varicent). In 2015, they co-founded TIRA Software Inc. and achieved positive revenues within the first 3 months of go-live, break-even within the first 6 months, and 20% year-over-year growth. In 2021, they joined Relay Platform as a Senior Program Manager. In this role, they are a key orchestrator of cross-functional teams engaged in building cyber insurance solutions while staying hyper-focused on a frictionless SaaS customer experience.

Abid Imam has an extensive educational background. In 2006, they earned an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University, with a focus on Management Information Systems and Marketing. Prior to that, they obtained an Honours Bachelors of Science from the University of Toronto Mississauga in 2003, majoring in Computer Science and Biology. In addition to these degrees, Abid has obtained numerous certifications, including an IBM Certified Solution Advisor - IBM Cloud Foundations V2 in 2020, an Artificial Intelligence for Project Managers certification from LinkedIn in 2019, an Executive Leadership certification from LinkedIn in 2019, a Digital Transformation certification from LinkedIn in 2019, an Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner certification from IBM in 2019, an IBM Agile Explorer certification from IBM in 2018, an IBM Blockchain Essentials certification from IBM in 2018, a Yoga Instructor Certification - Level I from the Downward Dog Yoga Centre in 2011, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2008.
