Rick Blakesley

Rick Blakesley, PhD, is an accomplished biostatistician with extensive experience in leading statistical strategy and execution across multiple clinical programs. Currently serving as Senior Director of Biostatistics at Relay Therapeutics since August 2021, Rick oversees the statistical planning for lirafugratinib and RLY-2608 programs while managing a biostatistical team. Prior roles include Director of Biostatistics at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, where operations included leading NDA statistical activities, and Associate Director at Allergan, where contributions focused on standardizing statistical documentation for gastrointestinal and women's health programs. Rick’s career also encompasses significant positions at Novartis Oncology and the University of Pittsburgh, demonstrating a strong background in statistical analysis, standardization initiatives, and data interpretation in clinical research. Rick holds a PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Pittsburgh and a BS in Psychology from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
